In collaboration with Swiss steel and knife expert Roman Kasé, the blade treatment, grind, and geometry were specifically designed for \u003cstrong\u003ehigh cutting performance combined with a robust blade\u003c\/strong\u003e.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003eATS 34 with special heat treatment\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe 11.8 cm blade is made of \u003cstrong\u003eJapanese ATS 34 steel\u003c\/strong\u003e and is manufactured using a special heat treatment. After quenching, it undergoes sub-zero treatment at below -80 °C before the blade is tempered. This reduces retained austenite, which is intended to contribute to increased edge retention and less burr formation during sharpening. At \u003cstrong\u003e60–61 HRC\u003c\/strong\u003e, the blade can still be easily resharpened with standard sharpening stones.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003eSophisticated blade geometry for bushcraft and hunting\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBefore the cutting edge is applied, the blade is ground to zero. The subsequent hybrid of \u003cstrong\u003eSaber and Scandi grind\u003c\/strong\u003e combines a primary grind of 9° per side with a slightly convex micro-bevel of 20° per side. This creates a geometry that is very efficient at cutting, making it suitable for both woodworking and hunting tasks. The thin blade geometry behind the cutting edge supports easy cutting, while the swedge behind the tip facilitates dressing game during hunting tasks.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003eSuper-Ergo handle made of TPE\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe 11.7 cm handle is made of durable \u003cstrong\u003eTPE with a diamond pattern\u003c\/strong\u003e. The material provides a secure grip even with wet or sweaty hands and remains pleasantly grippy in cold weather. At the same time, it is resistant to oils, greases, and solvents, highly abrasion-resistant, and easy to clean.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003eManufactured entirely in Solingen\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eLike the other knives in the Super Edge series, the Evo-X is \u003cstrong\u003emanufactured entirely in Solingen\u003c\/strong\u003e. Production takes place with experienced Solingen partners using a combination of careful handcraft and modern technology.
