Casström 50/50 Wax Kit for Deep Leather Protection

The Casström 50/50 Wax Kit was developed for the intensive care and impregnation of leather knife sheaths. In the so-called hot waxing process, the wax is melted and the leather sheath is immersed in it. In this way, the wax penetrates deep into the leather and provides long-lasting protection against rain and moisture.

50% Beeswax and 50% Neatsfoot Oil

The wax consists entirely of natural ingredients and is composed of equal parts of beeswax and neatsfoot oil from hoof fat. This combination protects the leather from penetrating moisture and at the same time helps to maintain the stiffness important for a knife sheath.

Hot Waxing for Particularly Deep Protection

Compared to Casström Lapland Leather Wax, which can be applied directly to the leather surface, the 50/50 wax offers more intense and longer-lasting water-repellent protection. By immersing the leather sheath in the melted wax, the protection can penetrate deep into the material.

The method is not only suitable for knife sheaths but also for other robust leather products where reliable protection against water and moisture is required.

Care After Hot Waxing

For regular care after treatment, Casström recommends treating the leather sheath with Lapland Leather Wax from time to time after using the knife. This way, the protection can be easily refreshed in everyday life.

The Casström 50/50 Wax Kit contains 80.0 g of natural wax and is therefore suitable for the thorough impregnation of leather knife sheaths and other leather products. It is applied using the hot waxing method and is specially designed for deep and lasting moisture protection.
