Casström Swedish Field Dresser: Hunting Knife for Game Processing

The Casström Swedish Field Dresser was developed in collaboration with amateur and professional hunters as well as game slaughtering operations, and consistently designed to meet the requirements of game processing. This fixed-blade hunting knife combines the functions of a gut hook, skinning knife, and versatile utility knife in one compact design.

For Gutting, Eviscerating, and Skinning

The almost straight blade and easy-to-grip handle allow for controlled work when processing game. The Swedish Field Dresser is suitable for various game species, from moose to small game, and can also be used for processing fish.

Even beyond hunting, the knife proves to be a versatile companion. Its robust construction is suitable, for example, for cutting food or for simple carving tasks when camping and bushcrafting.

Rust-Free 14C28N Steel with Cryogenic Treatment

The 7.5 cm long blade is made of Sandvik or Alleima 14C28N and undergoes cryogenic treatment. The stainless steel achieves a hardness of 59 to 60 HRC, combining good edge retention with high corrosion resistance. The blade is flat-ground and features an additional secondary bevel.

Robust Full Tang with Micarta Handle

The Swedish Field Dresser is designed as a solid full-tang knife. The handle is made of black Micarta and is securely attached to the tang with stainless steel rivets. Micarta is durable and well-suited for use in varying weather conditions.

Hygienic and Easy to Clean

For a hunting knife, easy cleaning plays an important role, as the blade regularly comes into contact with food and organic material during game processing. Therefore, both the knife and the Kydex sheath are resistant to moisture and liquids and can be easily cleaned after use.

Kydex Sheath for Outdoor Use

The scope of delivery includes a sheath made of thermoformed Kydex. This robust thermoplastic is insensitive to moisture, making it ideal for the demands of hunting and outdoor activities.

Compact Hunting Knife with 19.0 cm Overall Length

With an overall length of 19.0 cm, a blade length of 7.5 cm, and a blade thickness of 2.8 mm, the Swedish Field Dresser offers a handy format for game processing. The weight is 110.0 g. This combines robust full-tang construction with a comparatively compact design.
