The Böker Plus Stoertebeker is our exclusive special edition of the proven Böker Plus Piranha. Instead of green G10, this model features deep black Micarta handle scales that offer a comfortable grip and a subtle textile texture. The blade, made of 1095 carbon steel with a black titanium coating, combines proven material quality with a classic look. This steel has been known for its reliability for decades and embodies an honest, robust work ethic.

The all-black finish gives the knife the serene presence one associates with historical tools. The blade features an image of the skull of a man executed around 1400, recovered in Hamburg, which served as the basis for the reconstruction of Claus Störtebeker's face. This detail makes this knife a truly distinctive pirate EDC .

Origin of the collaboration

As a specialist retailer from Lüneburg with deep ties to the Hanseatic history and the region's ancient trade routes, we were looking for a design suitable for a regional special edition. The Piranha, designed by Scott McGhee, impressed us with its pleasing lines, reminiscent of maritime forms. In collaboration with Böker, this led to the idea of developing this proven EDC knife into a variant that embodies our regional roots and the rugged spirit of North German history.

Thus, the Böker Plus Stoertebeker was born. A model available exclusively from us, combining the robust functionality of a modern EDC knife with a touch of North German identity.

The inspiration

Claus Störtebeker is one of the most influential figures in North German piracy history. His legend is synonymous with Hamburg, the Elbe River, the Hanseatic League, and thus also with Lüneburg. He embodies courage, rebellion, and that touch of wildness that has fascinated people for centuries.

Our location in Lüneburg, once a proud member of the Hanseatic League, is just a few kilometers from Hamburg. Here, where Störtebeker and his companions wrote their chapter in North German history, the idea for this exclusive version was born.

The Böker Plus Stoertebeker captures this atmosphere and combines tradition with modern knife making. The all-black design, clean lines, and use of a time-honored carbon steel create a link to the tools and weapons of that era when privateers challenged the Hanseatic League's trade routes.
