Dönges Expert Fire Fixed

The two knives in the Dönges Expert series are specialized tools for tough and demanding rescue operations. Both knives share a red G10 handle with a grippy Dönges honeycomb texture, blades made of durable and rust-resistant D2 steel, and a glass breaker. Both knives have multiple cutting edges, uncompromisingly designed for cutting ropes, straps, and the clothing of injured persons. The Expert series consists of a double-bladed folding knife and a fixed-blade knife.

The only fixed-blade knife in the series features a double-edged blade. The underside is ground smooth along its entire length. The back edge has a sharp serrated edge for cutting fibrous materials. A seatbelt cutter is located behind the blade tip on the spine. The tip is designed as a blunt lever point, but is intentionally ground thin. This allows it to be driven into very narrow gaps with minimal force, such as the cracks in nailed-shut boxes or between the frame and door of jammed fuse boxes. The full-tang construction features pronounced guards, the upper of which is designed as an integrated bottle opener. The knife fits securely in the included Kydex sheath and can be further secured with a screw-on snap closure made of fiber-reinforced synthetic material. The sheath can be attached to gear using either a modular stainless steel clip or cable ties through the riveted holes.
