Böker Plus Stoertebeker – Messerteam Kalb Exclusive

The Böker Plus Stoertebeker is our exclusive special variant of the proven Böker Plus Piranha. Instead of green G10, this model features deep black Micarta handle scales, which are comfortably grippy in the hand and have a subtle textile texture. The 1095 carbon steel blade with a black titanium coating combines proven material quality with a historical appearance. This steel has been known for its reliability for decades and brings an honest, robust work ethic.

The completely black appearance gives the knife that quiet presence known from historical tools. The blade features an image of the skull of a person executed around 1400, recovered in Hamburg, which was used to reconstruct the face of Claus Störtebeker. A detail that makes this knife an unmistakable privateer EDC.

Origin of the Collaboration

As a Lüneburg specialist retailer with a deep connection to Hanseatic history and the old trade routes of the region, we were looking for a design that would be suitable as the basis for a regional special edition. The Piranha, designed by Scott McGhee, convinced us with its pleasing lines, which vaguely resemble maritime shapes. In collaboration with Böker, the idea arose to develop this proven EDC knife into a variant that would make our regional roots and the rugged spirit of North German history tangible.

Thus, the Böker Plus Stoertebeker was born. A version that is only available from us and combines the tangible functionality of a modern EDC knife with a piece of North German identity.

The Inspiration

Claus Störtebeker is one of the most influential figures in North German pirate history. His legend belongs to Hamburg, to the Elbe, to the Hanseatic League, and thus also to Lüneburg. He embodies courage, rebellion, and that touch of wildness that has fascinated for centuries.

Our location in Lüneburg, once a proud member of the Hanseatic League, is only a few kilometers from Hamburg. Here, where Störtebeker and his companions wrote their chapter in North German history, the idea for this exclusive variant was born.

The Knife

The Böker Plus Stoertebeker captures this atmosphere and brings tradition together with modern knife manufacturing. The consistently black design, the clear lines, and the use of a traditional carbon steel build a bridge to the tools and weapons of that era when privateers challenged the Hanseatic trade routes.
