Böker BFF Packlite AEB-L

Böker BFF Packlite AEB-L: Ultralight Skeleton Knife for EDC

The Böker BFF Packlite AEB-L combines the signature design of Lucas Burnley with a consistently minimalist all-steel construction. With a total length of 15.5 cm, this fixed-blade skeleton knife weighs just 31.0 g, making it exceptionally easy to carry as an EDC knife, neck knife, or backup knife.

The 6.5 cm long and 2.5 mm thick drop-point blade is made of AEB-L and hardened to 60 HRC. This rust-resistant knife steel originally comes from razor blade production and is known for its very fine grain structure and excellent toughness. AEB-L allows for a fine, sharp edge and combines good corrosion resistance with high edge stability and relatively easy resharpenability.

Fine edge and high toughness

AEB-L is designed less for maximum wear resistance and more for a balanced ratio of sharpness, toughness, corrosion resistance, and edge stability. At 60 HRC, the blade offers practical hardness with good edge retention without sacrificing the toughness typical of AEB-L. This makes the steel interesting for cutting tasks that require a fine and stable edge.

Minimalist all-steel construction

The open all-steel and skeletonized design ensures low weight and a clear, functional structure. Jimpings on the spine provide increased control during precise cutting tasks. The design also allows for different grip positions and underscores the minimalist character of the BFF Packlite.

Neck knife with Kydex sheath

A custom-fit Kydex sheath with a ball chain is included, allowing for flexible carry as a neck knife or pendant knife. Due to its low weight of only 31.0 g, the BFF Packlite AEB-L can be integrated into an EDC or outdoor setup with particular ease.

Lucas Burnley design for daily use and the outdoors

The Böker BFF Packlite AEB-L combines a 6.5 cm long AEB-L blade with a robust all-metal construction and a consistently minimalist design. It is suitable for EDC, daily use, camping, hiking, and light outdoor cutting tasks, and can also be used as a compact backup knife.
