Fierce, industrious, efficient – fire ants are known as workhorses, but above all for their painfully burning stings. From now on, even everyday cutting tasks should beware of them, because the Böker Plus Fire Ant seamlessly embodies the defining characteristics of this ant species. Its mouthparts are a drop-point blade made of corrosion-resistant 1.4116 steel with a non-toxic satin finish. The Fire Ant only delivers its powerful bite when the flipper is activated, while the Double Detent Ball mechanism keeps the knife securely open. Two balls inside the liners are pressed against the open blade, which can then be easily closed by overcoming the clamping resistance. The textured black polypropylene handle scales provide an excellent grip and also house several shaped worker ants, a stabilizing fire-red backspacer, tweezers, and a reversible tip-up clip.
