Böker Plus Cataclyst Flipjoint Damascus

As a combination of a modern EDC and a high-quality gentleman's knife, the Böker Plus Cataclyst, even in the Damascus version with 110 layers, convinces across the board. The stable blade opens via a ball-bearing flipper and is equipped with a flat grind and a double-sided hollow grind. It is held open by the well-thought-out flip joint mechanism and does not lock, but is only held securely in position by a detent ball. With sufficient pressure on the back of the blade, the blade can be folded in without releasing a locking mechanism.

To avoid any doubt regarding carrying the Cataclyst Brown Damascus Flipjoint, we explicitly had a determination issued regarding the classification of a knife with a ball blade retainer under weapons law. The BKA (Federal Criminal Police Office) (determination Z-524) shares our opinion that the blade retainer using the detent ball does not constitute a locking mechanism within the meaning of the Weapons Act: "The ball blade retainer used here, which releases with only slight finger pressure on the spine of the blade, does not meet the criteria of a manual locking mechanism."

The serrations on the thumb rest and backspacer further increase work safety.
