Powerful blade for heavy work

With a blade thickness of 4 mm, the Woodsman is ideal for robust tasks such as batoning firewood. The stable construction offers the necessary resilience when strength and durability are required.

The continuous full-tang construction ensures maximum stability. Even if the handle scales are damaged, the knife remains operational. The Scandinavian grind supports controlled work and is excellently suited for carving and splitting wood.

Ergonomic handle with Nordic character

The distinctive handle shape was designed so that the orientation of the knife can be recognized by touch alone. This increases safety and efficiency when working in the field.

Made from hand-finished, oiled curly birch from sustainable forestry, the handle conveys an authentic Nordic appearance. Black liners and brass rivets set subtle accents.

High-performance tool steel

The blade is made of Uddeholm Sleipner, a high-alloy, non-stainless tool steel with excellent edge retention. It can be easily resharpened and honed in the field. All Casström blades are cryogenically hardened, which increases wear resistance and optimizes the performance potential of the steel.

High-quality leather sheath

The scope of delivery includes a 3 mm thick sheath made of vegetable-tanned, European leather. It reliably protects the blade and allows quick access.

Optional with Fire Steel

For users who want a comprehensive survival kit, the Woodsman is also available with a matching fire steel. The fire steel with a handle made of oiled curly birch is based on Auermetall ferrocerium and allows over 12,000 ignitions. The accompanying leather sheath has an integrated holder for the fire steel.
