The overwhelming success of the Worksharp Knife and Tool Sharpener in particular impressively documents the ingenuity and innovative strength of the US company Darex when it comes to the development of knife sharpeners. With the GSS ("Guided Sharpening System"), Darex is now entering the field of manual sharpening systems. And Darex wouldn't be Darex if it didn't break completely new ground here as well.

The special feature of the GSS, besides the angle guide common to Darex, is above all the sharpening surface mounted rotatably around the longitudinal axis. This offers the unique advantage that the user does not have to adapt the holding angle to the course of the cutting edge when guiding the blade, but the blade can always be held at a right angle to the sharpening direction regardless of the course of the cutting edge, because the rotatably mounted sharpening surface automatically follows the course of the cutting edge. This simplifies handling considerably, as the cutting angle can be kept constant much more easily during sharpening by the straight-line movement than with a rigid system where one has to follow the course of the cutting edge. This allows even less experienced users to easily produce a razor-sharp edge. If necessary, the sharpening surface can also be locked, the swivel mechanism is then deactivated.

Secure stand thanks to rubber feet. Replaceable diamond plates in 2 grits (320 and 600) for rough and fine sharpening. Additional ceramic insert with 3 surfaces (fine, coarse, groove) for recurve blades, wave sharpening, etc. Angle ramps at 17° and 20° ensure a fixed starting position when sharpening.
